The inflorescences appear in autumn and winter. In our, Singaporean climate, it generally flowers about 1-3 times a year depending on climate. Its flowers are highly fragrant and last up to 3 weeks in our climate. It has very powerful Citrus smell. This was most difficult for us to find as it blooms primarily in Jan and Feb. Built in 1894, Lau Pa Sat, once a wet market, is now a popular and atmospheric hawker centre. This historic building was built with Victorian filigree cast-iron and is located in the heart of Singapore’s business area.
