Paint system

Encore’s single column overhead machine designs allow customers to view the process from the safety of the cleanroom. Dual columns have limited visibility requiring the process to be viewed from inside the booth. Blow-off: Using Encore engineered and designed standard machines and robot mounted assemblies Encore offers an extensive assortment of custom blow off systems for a wide variety of vehicle and product sizes. Blow off systems typically fan driven, electro-statically charged, to remove dirt and foreign particles from the surface of parts prior to painting. There are a variety of options on blow off systems, including: Stationary (fixed) or Machine/Robotic. Machine configurations are of various sizes and complexities, High/low volume, high/low velocity air, Compressed or fan driven air, PC based or PLC based visualization systems, PLC based with PC or Panel view Graphical User Interfaces, Clean Wall or In-booth Design, Vacuum collection and/or booth collection of dirt.

TKS offers conveyor systems for automotive paint plants. Our goal is to design compact and highly efficient factory layouts for production. We supply overhead conveyors for pretreatment and electro-deposition lines as well as floor conveyors for prime, base, and top coat lines. Friction conveyors are preferred for easy maintenance. TKS employs a large staff of full-time engineers. From sizing equipment based on heat loads and specifications to designing new layouts for brand new paint shops, our Engineering & CAD team can provide full-service engineering. We design custom paint booths, industrial ovens, and other paint process equipment.

TKS offers a proprietary high-pressure water spray technology to clean car bodies of weld balls and iron dust prior to the film build processes. A clean car body is critical to a quality surface finish. TKS’ electrical engineering department works with many manufacturers including Spang, Controlled Power, and more. TKS provides a variety of types of anodes: solid, flushing, roof-, wall-, and floor-mounted. We also design and provide the anolyte system. A properly sized and maintained UF system is key to a clean e-coat finish. Along with our patented counterflow innovation, TKS offers a cost-effective ED system. TKS can design heated flash off tunnels for your paint process, using a heater box to provide hot air blow (HAB) to allow for the waterborne paint to set prior to the next coat of paint. Typically followed by a short cooling tunnel with cold air blow (CAB) to return the vehicle to near room temperature before the next layer of paint is applied.

TKS designs and builds several industrial ovens for paint drying and paint cure, including: ED oven, Sealer oven, Primer oven, and Topcoat (TC) Oven. These industrial ovens can operate for 30+ years with typical oven burner and fan maintenance. The oven is typically preceded by a setting tunnel to allow the solvent-borne clear coat a few minutes to flash in a controlled room temperature environment prior to entering the oven’s first heat-up zone where the water within the waterborne paint begins to flash off.
